Taking Care of Those Who Take Care of Us

welcome

The Public Safety Athletic Trainers Society is a community of athletic trainers dedicated to providing the highest level of care to tactical athletes and educating public entities about the benefits of athletic trainers in their workplace.

Why first responders need athletic trainers

According to NFPA, in 2022, United States Firefighter injuries totaled 65,650. Of those injuries, 22% of them were from slips/trips/falls, and 31% of them were due to overexertion and strain.

In 2020, FBI statistics reported injury rates for United States Police Officers totaling 60,105. Of the total, 31% of those officers sustained injuries from physical altercations.
