Why first responders need athletic trainers

According to NFPA, in 2021, United States Firefighter injuries totaled 60,450. Of those injuries, 24% of them were from slips/trips/falls and 25% of them were due to overexertion and strain.

In 2020, FBI statistics reported injury rates for United States Police Officers totaling 60,105. Of the total, 31% of those officers sustained injuries from physical altercations.
